Sand Del Lee MX Park is home to round 8 of the CMRC Canadian National MX Series. After 7 rounds of sunny skies, things were about to change this weekend as overcast skies were the order of the day. Light rain was felt during the first MX-1 moto changing to hard rain and mud by the time the day’s racing was over making things interesting at the SDL sand track.

Kamloops, B.C.(Aug 9, 2010) Things are coming down to the wire in the 2010 Monster Energy CMRC Canadian Motocross Nationals as the series made it's next to last appearance, near the Nation's capital as the series rolled into Richmond, Ontario's Sand Del Lee MX. The Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki team came into the race with defending champion, Teddy Maier, looking to try and close the gap on current points leader, Tyler Medaglia.
KTM and Yamaha positions on Italian rider selection for MX of Nations

Yamaha Motor Europe and KTM Sport Motorcycles were disappointed to learn of the press release on Saturday 7th August by the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI) revealing that Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Team's David Philippaerts and Red Bull KTM's Tony Cairoli have been unable to be considered for the final selection for the team due to certain conditions to represent their country in the 2010 Motocross of Nations at Thunder Valley in Colorado on September 26th.

David Philippaerts endured a hard day of work at a rutty and one-line Loket circuit for the Grand Prix of Czech Republic and the twelfth stop of fifteen on the 2010 FIM MX1-GP World Championship calendar. The Yamaha Monster Energy Motocross Team star showed typical aggression and determination to finish in 6th position overall against the odds.
Heidi Cooke wins Women’s overall and championship

Heidi Cooke’s overall win, as well as cementing the Women’s Nationals eastern segment championship, proved to be the highlight of the weekend for Team Rockstar Energy/ OTSFF/Troy Lee Designs/Two Wheel Suzuki at Round 8 of the Motocross Nationals in Richmond, ON.
