(Concord, ON – September 22, 2008) - Team Suzuki Rockstar Energy OTSFF's Tyler Medaglia rose head and shoulders above the competition in the MX2 final at the Montreal Supercross on Saturday to take his second consecutive win of the event in front of some 45,000 rabid race fans.

Tyler Medaglia rode two classed at Montreal SXThe Kemptville, ON native, who recorded the fastest practice time on the demanding Olympic Stadium track, took command of the race on the first lap and never looked back. Medaglia was never threatened for position and by the time the ten laps were over he had placed his RM-Z250 a solid 21 seconds ahead of second place finisher Simon Homans.

In MX1 action, Medaglia again clocked the fastest practice laps to then put his RM-Z450 EFI into a second place qualifying finish behind the American Jeff Gibson. At the start of the main, however, Medaglia poured on a bit too much throttle popping up the front end of his bike which then hit him in the head, aggravating a previous nose injury. After a brief pit stop, which saw him down two laps, he set out to pursue the rest of the long gone field to eventually claim 20th at the checkered.

“It was an awesome feeling repeating as MX2 winner but I had hoped to grab the MX1 as well. That would really have been a weekend to remember,” said Medaglia. “It's unfortunate I got a lousy start in the MX1 main, because I really felt confident I had a good shot at winning that too. But all in all it was a good supercross for me, a great ending to the Canadian pro season.”

For Medaglia's teammate Brady Sheren, the Montreal Supercross ended prematurely after he broke an arm during practice.

“This was definitely not the weekend I had hoped for, but it seems like that is what I have to settle for,” said a disappointed Sheren.
