Tim Tremblay wins the 2nd moto in the 450 class in CMRC Provincial
CMRC MX Provincial Series: Round 2, Deschambault, QC, June 8th, 2009.
Royal Distributing Thor Riverside KTM Canada riders Tim Tremblay and Mason Philips participated last weekend at the CMRC Provincial MX Series in Deschambault, QC. Tremblay signed in three classes; 125, 250 and 450.
In the 125 class, he had a bad start and crashed at the start of the race and couldn’t continue due to an injured hand. Even with this small injury he decided to continue racing. His decision paid off as he finished 3rd in the 450 first moto and he dominated and won the 2nd one with his KTM 450 SX-F on a very slippery track due to the rain just before the race.
In the 250 first moto Tremblay had a good start but crashed during the race and he had to battle really hard for the rest of the race to pass as many riders as he could. He finally crossed the finish line in 12th position. He was luckier in the second moto and finished in 4th place.
His teammate Mason Philips rode in the 250 and 450 class. In the 250 category, Philips rode two great motos and finished 5th and 4th on a KTM 250 SX-F. He had more difficulties in the 450 class in his first moto as he crashed but he still managed to battle hard and he crossed the finish line in 5th
position. For his second moto he gained one position with his KTM 450 SX-F.
Jason Thomas dominates the FMSQ provincial Enduro in Ferme-Neuve, QC
FMSQ Provincial Enduro-Cross Series: Round 2, Ferme-Neuve, QC, June 8th, 2008.
Last weekend was the 2nd round of the FMSQ Provincial Enduro-Cross Series in Ferme-Neuve, QC. The race took place on a very muddy and soft track but the really hot and humid weather made it pretty difficult for the riders. KTM
Canada rider Patrick Beaulé got the Holeshot and led the race for the first 10 minutes with his KTM 250 XC.
The English racer Jason Thomas didn’t take too long to pass him and to take the first position. The gap between him and the other riders continued to grow at every lap. Thomas crossed the finish line with 8 minutes on the second rider on his KTM 250 XC-F prepared by KTM dealer Enduro KTM.
KTM dealership Duroy Racing rider Michel Metcalfe had a really good race and was able to put his KTM 300 XC on the podium in 3rd place followed by Patrick Beaulé in 4th. We would also like to mention the great performance of KTM dealer Woody’s Cycle riders, Robin Hunzinger and Stephane Dagaines who both finished in first place respectively in the plus 30 class and amateur plus 30.
KTM riders dominate the OHSS race in Vernon, BC
OHSS (Okanogan Hare Scramble Series): Round 2, Vernon, BC, June 8th, 2008.
The second round of the OHSS race was held in Vernon, BC last weekend. KTM dealer RTR Performance team dominated the race and took the podium in the pro class. The start was tight with Josh Allan getting the holeshot and
leading into the woods. It took just a bobble by Josh for the Graffunder- Prochnau duo to get by and start the battle for the lead.
Cory Graffunder took the lead and Bobby Prochnau pressured him all the way to about the third lap. Bobby came out of the worst uphill mud section in front with Cory. The 2 riders were setting a blistering pace when a mistake by Bobby allowed Cory to take back the lead. During his pit stop, Cory stalled his bike and in the rush ended up just behind Bobby as they left the pits. They both traded the lead a few more times before Cory Graffunder crossed
the finish line in first place with his KTM 450 XC-F followed by Bobby Prochnau and his KTM 300 XC.
Their teammate KTM rider Josh Allan completed the top 3 also on a KTM 300 XC.
Bobby Desjardins wins the FMSQ ATV provincial
FMSQ Provincial Enduro-Cross Series: Round 2, Ferme-Neuve, QC, June 8th, 2008.
The second round of the FMSQ Enduro-Cross Series was very good for the KTM ATV riders. Bobby Desjardins rode a hard race and he finished this difficult race in first place with his KTM ATV 525 XC prepared by KTM dealer Moto
des Ruisseaux. The second position was won by KTM dealership Grégoire Sport rider Amélie Lavallée on her KTM ATV 450 XC. Also with Grégoire Sport; Jonathan Beaupré finished the race in the top 5.
Tim Tremblay rounds out the Québec City AX
Arenacross: Québec City, QC, June 7th, 2008.
Last weekend was the 5th edition of the Motocross Coors Light at the Quebec City coliseum. More than 30 riders competed on a very tight track where they needed to been in good physical form. Royal Distributing Thor Riverside
KTM Canada riders Tim Tremblay won the Pro race. Tremblay had a really good start and he battled hard all race with Jean-Sébastien Roy for the first position on the podium.
Even after the race stopped middle due to an accident Tremblay was able to get a few seconds advantage on the second position and he finished in first place. KTM Canada would also like to congratulate all the amateurs KTM riders who scored really good results.
Nick Wey ends up in 9th position at round 3
AMA Motocross Championship: Round 3, Whordam, TX, USA, June 7th, 2008.
The third round of the motocross series was the toughest yet as rider’s battled through blazing temperatures well into the 100s. In moto one of the Motocross class, Nick Wey unfortunately stalled his bike off the start but quickly caught up to the pack and picked off riders to come around the first lap in 24th.
In the near 40 minute moto, Wey worked his way up from his poor start to finish 14th overall. In moto two, Wey came around 20th on the start but did not take much time to begin his move forward. By the halfway mark Wey had moved into 11th and showed no sign of slowing down, despite the scorching heat. At the end of the moto, he managed to move two positions higher to pick up 9th place. His 14-9 scores gave him 9th overall for the day. Wey now sits 9th overall in series points, just 3 points shy of 8th place.
Sven Breugelmans second in MX3 Round Seven
MX3 GP: Round 7, Mladina, Croatia, June 8th, 2008.
KTM racer Sven Breugelmans of the JMRacing Team battled through mud and rain to finish second behind championship leader Christian Beggi in what turned out to be a one-race Round 7 of the MX3 World Championship.
MX3 riders then spent a valiant 35 minutes battling as much against the mud as each other. Sven's main rival Beggi came off best and finished with a thirteen second lead in front of the second placed Belgian. The two leaders had established a huge gap to the rest of the field and lapped almost all of the riders.
15-year-old Marquez top KTM 125cc rider at Caralunya GP
125cc GP: Round 7, Barcelona, Spain, June 8th, 2008.
Repsol KTM rider Marc Marquez proved to be the surprise of the 125 cc GP in Catalunya Sunday when the 15-yearold teenager from Cervera started from fourteenth on the grid and battled his way to a great tenth place in front of his
Spanish fans. It was his best result since he signed for the team a Grand Prix rookie at the end of last year.
Japanese ISPA KTM star Tomoyoshi Koyama and Swiss Red Bull KTM rider Randy Krummenacher also improved on their practice performances picking up points for their respective thirteenth and fifteenth places.
